The topic of crude oil and the use of it always fascinated me since I was in high school. In high school I was apart of the Environmental academy and we study the effects of crude oil .  We looked at graphs and different environmental impacts that crude oil had on our planet and on our daily lives.  In class we watched a movie describing the usage of crude oil around the world and  I was shocked plus amazed how much crude oil we use and depend on.  If you really think about it, everything around us that we use is from  oil.
Our everyday use depends on the oil.  Such as transportation, the machines we use to help build and create the items we use and much more. During my research of this topic I want to know how everyday stuff we use is made up of the crude oil. With that I would have to go and research the usage of oil throughout history. I’m pretty sure there would be tons of stuff that would come up. In my environmental class I remember my teacher had told us that plastic is made up of it.
I was in a shocked that even plastic was made up of oil. Almost everything is made up of plastic that we use today.  So another question came to my mind, what effects of us using all of this oil has on the planet? Is there any consequences from us humans using the oil? I’m sure that will cross everybody’s mind when using such things. With my research paper I will answer those basic everyday question. I my head everything we use has a price.
During the brief introduction you can see that oil is very beneficial to us humans on the planet. It helps us to create extraordinary machinery. Without those machinery  life on this planet probably will be very difficult. If you think about it, how would you drive your car? Heat your house during the winter? Cook dinner? This leads me to another topic I can research. Is oil a renewable source?
That is a major question almost everybody has on there mind. Something so great and useful, is it going to last forever? I started doing some research on this topic and I came across this article from CNN titled: “Oil Is the end at hand?”  The article is about how that “humans extracted half of the earth's oil and that we are going to run out.” I find that a very scary thought. It leads to some other questions, What would we do? Are we prepared for it?
Those question had me thinking of another thing I can research. Alternative energy sources. I am pretty sure that there is some other alternative sources we can use. The topic of oil can be very informational and help us be aware what is going  on with our resources.

"Ha ha," he said. "Ha ha."

The article that I read was basically talking about laugh tracks in sitcoms. It seem that the author had a problem with the fake laugh tracks produced by machines. He explained how annoying it was to sit down and watch one of the shows and hear a laugh go off  in jokes that are not even funny. He also sad that usually shows with no laugh track are usually more funny than the ones with one.  I have to agree on what the author is saying. I remember I was watching entertainment tonight and they had shown a clip of a future episode of, How I met your mother. Katy Perry was suppose to be guest staring.

Now during the clip it show the preview you hear that there wasn’t a laugh track involved in that scene. By watching that, it made it seem soo retarded. It was nothing funny about what she was saying. This also made me question some other shows with a laugh tracks? I mean it could be just that katy perry is just a bad actress who knows. But I can’t really complain really, its just like with horror movies without the creepy music. Without it the movie would suck. Whether we hate it or not some things are necessary to make other stuff better.

Attached to Technology and Paying a Price Article

The article Attached to technology and paying a price by Matt Richtel  had some very interesting points about how technology could impact our lives. When the story talked about a man  who spends too much time using technology and wasn't really focusing on his family it made me to believe that some people couldn't just handle different electronic devices. It seem like the whole entire article was trying to make the readers believe that computers and other electronic gadgets will have a terrible negative effect on us. Such as there was another report in this article that talked about how people who multitask have trouble filtering out stuff around them. I consider myself as a multitask-er and when I have my mind set on one thing I would get it done. My point of view, I really think it depends on the person . Just like some people are addicted to the most simple stuff such as food  or biting there nails. Just certain things some people minds just can not handle.

First new post

Well since I know that no one will read this, I would like to say hello to world or whatever is out there.  My life is typically normal in some way. Average college student with a good amount of friends(maybe too much) but everything is good. My major is biology and some of my activities are swimming, travailing and watching horror movies.
